Areas of Special Emphasis:

Academic and Clinical Interests: biopsychosocial models of pain treatment, treatment of pain and affective disorders, treatment of adult attention deficit disorder.

Research Interests:

Primary assignment with N1MH funded study on health outcomes for lung cancer patients and their families. (Paul Duberstein, Ph.D., Primary Investigator). Administered structured clinical interviews and assisted in development of research protocol. Developed measures assessing intergenerational relationships between older adults and adult children. Participated in departmental research projects on depression and suicide, psychological autopsies and depression among caregivers of family members. Assisted in developing coding system and training coders in assessing family relationships.
